In 11th November 2021, Melanie Martinez's third studio album That Sweet Era came out, and as the first one, (Cry Baby from 2015), it has a storybook. The storybook was released with the CD, and it tells Cry Baby's winter holidays. At the same time, the storybook says a bit of every song of the album, like Cry Baby one. The ilustrations of the story book were made by an artist that is known as "Beryl".

Oh, the Ice Cream fell down
"The holidays started, and Cry Baby went to the Ice Cream shop.
She bought her favourite ice cream, the one with vanilla and lolipop.
Cry Baby was so happy, but the ice cream fell down.
Oh no, she looked like a sad clown."
Chocolate Heart
Some days passed, and Cry Baby found a boy.
He is Ben, and he was so sweet and kind. He was not annoy.
He turned Cry Baby's into Chocolate, a chocolate heart.
Everytime he walks away, Cry Baby falls apart"

Now she's all alone.
Trying to forget and feel happy, she went to the playground.
There, she found someone who put her down.
It's Leo, and he wants to fight. Whatever Leo does, makes Cry Baby cry."

"Cry Baby ran away from Leo, and went to home.
She couldn't help to feel alone.
Bored, Cry Baby tried to sleep.
She slept so fast, without even counting sheep.
Cry Baby had a beautiful dream, about a beautiful river.
She could feel all the Peace."
Pinky Promise
"Cry Baby was at the playground, and found the boy who turn her heart into chocolate.
They played together, and she wanted to stay there forever.
They made a promise, to never left each other alone.
Days had passed, and he didn't appeard.
Was that pinky promise a waste of time?
Cry Baby couldn't believe he had lied."
Doll feelings
"Cry Baby was sad. It's been a long time since she doesn't see the sweet boy she met.
She's feeling like she's nothing but a doll for people next to her.
It's like they play with her feelings, and also brush her hair.
She knows it was not Ben's intention.
Everyone is saying that she just want attention."
Lemon pie
"Cry Baby went to Angelita's house, and they will bake something.
Angelita doesn't wanna lie - she likes lemon pie.
Cry Baby likes too, so they will have fun, and nobody would cry."
