Background
On December 24th, 2019, Melanie Martinez claimed on twitter that there would be a 3rd studio album to come out between January 2nd 2020 - March 28th 2020. On December 31st, a snippet for a new song called "Christian Psychos". The album was originally going to be called 'Loveable Lies" but the title did not fit the theme of the album.
